RESOURCES

From the context in which the project was intended

to be placed, Open Design, the resources used all derive from 'open' sources. Each component is waste: the recycled material and the material used to make the compression moulding machine; or obtained from Creative Common License sources: the cassettes used to store the cut PLA. The file of the latter has been openly downloaded from Boxes.Py, modified and made available again to other users.

The cassettes are laser cut from a 4mm thick sheet of plywood.

MOULD DESIGN

The mould was made on the lathe by machining an 80mm aluminium cylinder. In the file you can find the dimensions and the 3D model.
